The Little One and the Pacific

Promised already long ago, here they finally come: the photos documenting how Tristan dips his feet into the Pacific Ocean for the first time in his life during our stay in the sunshine state of California back in summer.

We stayed with friends in San Diego and in their house he also made friends with their dog "Leia" who was very forgiving when it came to being chased around by a little baby ( she even seemed to feel responsible when we were all on the groundfloor and he started crying upstairs in his bed).

During the week, Åsa was mainly working at Scripps Institute while Tristan and me where going for walks (in a nature reserve above the ocean for example), visited museums (for anthropology, for photography and for the history of San Diego just to name a few) or simply lived the american life - driving around in a car, shopping or hanging out at Starbucks...

In the weekends we had time for activities altogether and we went to the famous zoo as well as to the Birch Aquarium and to Seaworld, a huge disney kind of amusement park focused on maritime themes. On the photos you first see a sequence of Tristan's encounter with the ocean and the last two pictures are from our visit to Seaworld.
